This is the last poster that Connor and I made about always wearing eye protection while working with chemicals. Check it out!
This is another poster that Connor and I made about assuming always that any chemical is flammable even if its water.
This is a poster that Connor and I made, for lab safety on Ingestion of chemicals in any lab. We studied all of these in class today, and we made this poster. Check it out!
The quote I chose:
"E=MC2 is my favorite thing in science, E is energy and M is mass. The thrust of this equation is energy is equal to mass. What makes this so extraordinary is, this never happens in our everyday life. The only place that this happens is in our universe." - Neil deGrasse Tyson Why did you choose this quote? The reason why I chose this quote was, I have never thought of this equation to be anything. I was taught this equation last year, but when we were taught it, we didn't know what any of the symbols meant. For example, the E, I never was taught that was energy. Then the M, for matter. This made me realize to think outside of the box, rather then staying in my shell on the little spec that we are on planet Earth. There is a lot more out there, but the only way we are going to find new things, is if we put a mindset out. From this, I want to study the universe a little more, and see a lot more that is around us in our surrounding universe. What does this quote mean to you? What this quote means to me, is as I said, there is a lot more out there in the universe. He mentioned that this equation never has or never will work on our planet, but in our universe this is going on always. And from that, it was a huge mind opener. This semester I think I am going to be focusing on our universe, so I know whats going on in our surrounding world. There must be life that we can find, in our universe. What thoughts does it provoke? The thought that came up in my head the first time I heard this was, wow this is very shocking, I have never thought of the universe in such a detailed perspective. This was a mind blower, now I would like to study our planets beauties, and our universes beauties. As of this year, I found lots of awesome experiences in Yosemite Valley and Mammoth mountain. From this, I would like to base some of my projects to studying our planet, and checking out the geological grounds throughout California, because that is one of my passions. |
