1. My favorite thing I did this year was, the Rubens Tube for sure. I really feel like it was a learning experience for me. The reason why I chose this topic was due to learning so much about my self as a person. The Rubens Tube project was a struggle, but this is why I believe it was my best project. It was the hardest thing I did all year long, due to trying to find all the materials on my own. The week of getting all the materials, my parents were out of town so I went to home depot on my minibike with a back pack, and got all the materials I needed. It was like a flashback to the 70's cruising down the road, on a minibike. With my partners help, we both got the Ruben's Tube done and we both waited until my parents got home to light it. I was stoked about the outcome of the project, due to never seeing one work that well. This is a project that I now can keep at my house, and brag about it to guests and show them what I produced at school for a school project.
2. I believe this semester in this class I was most curious when we started the rocket project. The reason for this is because of the partner that I chose, to work with. The partner I chose was Gabriel Malcolm, and we worked super well with each other. In all project this year, for some reason I picked Connor Partida for all of my partnerships. I really regret this, because I don't feel like we worked that well with each other. This was truly another life long learning experience to find who I work best with, I am going to use this in further years in work aspects. I really wish that we could continue in this class because I still have so many great project ideas in my head.
3. This year I really didn't have any non curious moments, because I was so interested in all things we were doing all semester long. This class is a lot like Brian's class, and in Brian's class I also did succeed a lot. Both last year and this year, I haven't had any non curious moments. At the beginning of the year although, I really was not enjoying the lava lamps but I still was interested in them. I wish they were a bit more guided so we could have gotten them perfect. Now that we found the perfect ratio though, we can make a real lava lamp that works perfectly. All in all this semester was truly a success, and I wish we could continue in this class generating a lot more great ideas.
4. This semester has helped me a lot as a person in the aspect of team work and dedication. I worked super hard this year splitting up all of the work that was due, to make sure we all did equal amount of work. Last year I didn't have many partners because they were not forced on us. Now this year it was all based on team work, so I had to learn more about how to do it. Ive always had a hard time with team work, so this semester I learned a lot about my self in the team work aspect. I realized that the more communication the better, so all the group members know what to do.
5. The last words I have on the semester is be sure to keep up on your blog posts, and do your blog posts throughout the entire project. All semester long, there were a group of students that would do there blog posts weeks after the project. What would happen was they would get super behind, and be all stressed out. This is something that made this semester a lot better, because I wasn't worried about my blog at all through the year. Also do projects you enjoy because if you are not interested in it, the final project will not turn out great. All semester long I really wish I did more projects, so I could of gotten the most out of the semester.
